Tina Shah, PharmD, is a licensed pharmacist, certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and Senior Research Associate for Clinical Research with 17 years of experience in pharmacoinformatics, pharmacy operations, and research. She applies expertise in clinical operations, protocol implementation, and compliance. She also develops tools for trial site start-up, manages pharmacy and hospital data, and provides quality control and consultation for national health care surveys and data systems.
Shah is a clinical operations manager for the NICHD International and Domestic Pediatric and Maternal HIV and Other High-Priority Infectious Diseases Data Coordinating Center and works closely with the project director on NICHD Network site implementation of IMPAACT protocols and compliance with NIAID/DAIDS policies and procedures. She is also a member of the Cancer Trials Support Unit (CTSU) Study Site Set-up Initiative and develops coverage analysis documents and electronic health record (EHR) templates for sites to assist with their start-up activities for activating clinical trials. Shah has also contributed to projects involving the management and processing of pharmacy and hospital records and has investigated pharmacy-related questions for the Drug Abuse Warning Network (DAWN).
Shah previously worked as a clinical pharmacist at an allergy and immunology clinic, where she was responsible for investigational agents. In addition, she has more than 10 years of experience in community pharmacy settings, including running and managing day-to-day operations, regional management of pharmacy teams, conducting audits and pharmacy inspections, and analyzing, reporting on, and resolving identified issues to improve patient care.
