Naomi Dyer Yount, PhD, is a Principal Research Associate and industrial/organizational psychologist with more than 15 years of experience in organizational research. Her expertise ranges from qualitative interviewing to quantitative analysis of survey and other organizational data. Yount also excels in survey analysis, from descriptive statistics to key driver evaluations.
At Westat, Yount serves as project director for a government-wide survey to assess employee perceptions regarding critical areas of work life that drive job satisfaction, engagement, commitment, and, ultimately, retention. In this capacity, she has overseen the annual production of over 25,000 reports. Her work has also included psychometrically testing new diversity, inclusion, equity, and accessibility items for inclusion in the government-wide survey to help agencies meet the President’s Management Agenda goals.
Over her career, Yount has coauthored dozens of peer-reviewed journals and technical reports and presented at numerous world-renowned research conferences. She is also a member of the 2025 Leadership Montgomery Emerging Leaders Program, which is designed for aspiring leaders who are dedicated to their communities and eager to enhance their leadership skills.
