Kristin Flanagan, PhD, is a Vice President for Large Surveys. She brings expertise in study design; quantitative methods; qualitative methods; survey development; assessment development; and data collection design, protocols, and implementation. Areas of focus include studies of early childhood development, youth development, and education. Flanagan works primarily on large-scale studies of children’s educational experiences, knowledge, and skills, including the Early Childhood Longitudinal Studies program, the International Activities Program, and the School Pulse Panel surveys within ED and the NCES.
In addition, Flanagan leads a design contract to conduct preliminary activities to support a nationally representative, descriptive study of Head Start for the HHS’s ACF. Her work includes both longitudinal studies of children that track children’s experiences across the early childhood and elementary school years and cross-sectional studies of children’s educational experiences.
