Kelly Cronin is a Principal Research Associate for Behavioral Health and Health Policy with 16 years of experience working on large public health data collection systems. Cronin directs hospital engagement teams for 2 public health surveillance systems: the Drug Abuse Warning Network (DAWN) and the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System (NEISS). She previously worked on the National Hospital Care Survey (NHCS). Hospital engagement teams develop informational materials, conduct outreach to health care systems, and enroll hospitals into public health projects. They provide ongoing support to participating hospitals minimizing disruptions to the continuous collection of quality data.
Cronin is certified in public health by the National Board of Public Health Examiners (NBPHE) and is a certified alcohol and drug counselor by the Iowa Board of Certification (IBC).
