Jacob (Jake) Beckerman-Hsu, PhD, is a Senior Research Associate for Social Policy and Economics Research with over a decade of experience conducting research and authoring technical reports, scientific papers, and presentations in the fields of public health and nutrition. He designs surveys and interviews, collects data in English and Spanish, and employs a broad set of analytic methodologies, including multilevel regression modeling and qualitative analysis. Beckerman-Hsu is also an experienced facilitator; he leads national training sessions, technical assistance, communities of practice, and working groups with federal, state, and local partners for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed).
Beckerman-Hsu’s current project portfolio includes WIC and SNAP. He serves as an expert in study design, quantitative methods, data science, and longitudinal linkage and analysis of administrative data.
