Senior Research Associate

Overview

Beth Slotman is a Senior Research Associate for Public Health with 25 years of experience in all phases of public health research. She leads the development and implementation of quantitative and qualitative research, including study design methods, procedure development, literature reviews, environmental scans, data collection, and analysis. She has expertise in feasibility and program evaluation and conducts data quality control for major longitudinal studies.

Slotman leads several projects for NCI supporting data management, analysis and evaluation, and development of research products for the NCI Cancer Information Service (CIS), the Tobacco Use Supplement to the Current Population Survey (TUS-CPS), analyses of behavioral health issues in cancer treatment and survivorship using National Survey of Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) data, and the Relationships, Risk perceptions, and Cancer-related Behaviors during the COVID-19 Pandemic study (R2C2). She also led a 3-year project for CDC aimed implementing implement changes to the electronic health record (EHR) system to reduce chronic disease risk factors among cancer survivors and disseminating best practices through the National Comprehensive Cancer Control Program (NCCCP). Over her career, Slotman has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed journal articles, technical reports, and presentations.
