Fourteen small businesses participated in the Small Business Tradeshow and One-on-One Matchmaking event hosted by Westat on March 20, 2024. It was an excellent opportunity for representatives from invited businesses with a diverse array of capabilities—from management consulting and data analytics to leadership development training and data collection systems—to showcase their offerings, explore synergies with Westat, and identify potential avenues for collaboration.
The event highlights included networking opportunities, where business owners engaged with Westat subject matter experts, senior executives, project leads, and fellow small business owners to forge valuable connections and exchange insights. Also, participants had access to personalized meetings tailored to their business needs, enabling targeted discussions and collaborations on working on projects through one-on-one matchmaking. Each participant business was provided with an exhibit booth equipped to showcase their products/services and interact with potential partners.
Scott Royal, PhD, Westat President and CEO, provided remarks in which he highlighted the importance of building relationships with small business partners for the unique and diverse solutions they can bring to Westat’s projects.
