Westat will be participating virtually at the National Rural Education Association’s 2022 Convention and Research Symposium, held in Green Bay, Wisconsin, October 20-21, 2022.
Together with a state education agency partner and a school district, the Region 14 Comprehensive Center will be sharing how a state’s principal residency program has helped districts increase the number of well-prepared, diverse instructional leaders by building sustainable leadership pipelines and growing quality principal residency programs. Increasingly, this program has supported rural districts and educator preparation programs in their journey to recruit, prepare, and retain excellent administrators.
Westat’s Darcy Pietryka, Ed.M., will moderate the presentation of Ebony Love of Texas Education Agency, and Katie Atkins and Kayla Warren of Westwood ISD: I Don’t Need to Move to Become a Principal?
