Westat welcomes Donna Elam, Ed.D., as a Principal Research Associate for Education Studies. She is a nationally recognized authority in equity, diversity, and cultural competence research and capacity building and has provided leadership in this area within and outside the education sector.
Elam has been working with Westat for some time as a consultant to the National Comprehensive Center and has played an integral part in the new Equity Assistance Center-South (EAC-South), where Westat serves as a partner to the Southern Education Foundation (SEF). She will serve as a Senior Advisor to both the National Comprehensive Center and the EAC-South.
Elam has held leadership positions within universities (New York University, University of South Florida), has led federal contracts, has led her own successful consulting business, and is passionate about using evidence to foster equity within the education sector.
