Karen Della Torre, MBA, is an Associate Vice President and contract manager with more than 20 years of experience managing staff in support of federal government initiatives. Della Torre manages a large multitask laboratory analysis and health research contract supporting the EPA’s Human Studies Division. She ensures that deliverables and project milestones are achieved; oversees budgeting and financial reporting; assigns and manages appropriately skilled staff; and develops work plans, quality assurance plans, and project reports.
Della Torre has extensive experience in epidemiologic research and has conducted scientific literature reviews, designed and developed environmental and epidemiologic databases, organized conferences, directed statistical analyses, and produced manuscripts and reports. She has directed the collection, processing, and analysis of biological specimens and environmental samples. Della Torre also supervises a staff of up to 75 data collection specialists, systems analysts, programmers, database developers, survey designers, and subject area specialists.
