Brian Jones is a Principal Research Associate for Social Policy and Economics Research. He brings more than 15 years of experience in policy development, research, and technical assistance for poverty reduction, nutrition assistance, and other human services programs. He has developed and administered policy at the state level and performed risk analysis to identify areas of noncompliance with state and federal laws.
Jones supports policy and technical assistance projects with USDA. He is Project Director for Quality Assurance of Quality Control and provides technical assistance for numerous policy support projects such as District of Columbia Internal Comprehensive Review and Challenges for SNAP [Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program] State Agencies Implementing Corrective Action Plans.
Jones served as Director of Quality Control and Management Evaluation for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, where he directed policy analysis and quality assurance of the state’s SNAP, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Medicaid, and Child Care Assistance programs.
