Westat is hosting a webinar with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to highlight the upcoming National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NBHAAD). The webinar will take place on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 1:00 pm (ET) and will address how social determinants of health—such as access to health care, affordable housing, and employment—can reduce the burden of HIV and other health risks.
Featuring a town hall-style panel discussion led by David Johns of the National Black Justice Coalition, this webinar will prepare attendees with information and tools that can be used to plan for individual NBHAAD community outreach.
CDC’s Let’s Stop HIV Together (Together) new digital toolkit is a valuable resource and will be promoted at the webinar. Attendees are encouraged to share their social media posts to help spark conversations about HIV and highlight progress being made to reduce HIV among Black or African American people.
