Court Watch Montgomery: Expanding Justice for Domestic Violence Victims

Westat is sponsoring an event on November 3, 2022, at 6:00 pm (ET), featuring Leslie Morgan Steiner, a nationally recognized author and speaker on domestic violence and women’s issues. The event is coordinated by Court Watch Montgomery (CWM).

CWM’s mission is to improve and protect the lives of domestic violence survivors who reside in Montgomery County, Maryland. CWM volunteers monitor civil protective order and criminal intimate partner violence hearings; collect and analyze data based on their observations; and publish reports that include making recommendations to judicial, legislative, and policy officials. Over the years, CWM has been successful in protecting victims by changing courtroom policies and improving the training of judges and court personnel.
