Westat is excited to once again sponsor the Lifesavers National Conference on Highway Safety Priorities. Lifesavers is taking place in Seattle, Washington, April 2-4, 2023, and Westat staff members Adele Polson, Emily Burkhardt, and Elizabeth Petraglia, PhD, will be on hand to present, host a booth, and support our partners on the National Digital Car Seat Check Form program team (NDCF).
Westat is looking forward to the opportunity to meet with other traffic safety professionals and advocates to discuss how our work makes travel safer, particularly our work in child passenger safety. We leverage data to help overcome barriers to using child passenger safety resources and analyze the data from car seat checks.
Through the NDCF program, we work directly with Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs) to demonstrate how the data they collect are compiled, cleaned, and presented in the NDCF dashboards. Westat developed and maintains these dashboards, which provide data that are critical to creating evidence-based solutions for improving CPS programs and saving more lives.
